New Town Court to Open January 4
As of January 4, 2010, the Southampton Town Justice Court
will officially open at its new headquarters in Hampton Bays.
Now located at 32 Jackson Avenue, off Old Riverhead Road, just before the Transfer Station, the move is a long-awaited one from the Justice Court's previous location at Southampton Town Hall in the Village of Southampton. It will be part of a new campus of modular buildings that will include additional courtroom space, judge's chambers, and jury deliberation rooms. Offices for the Suffolk County District Attorney opened earlier this year.
The doors will open at 8:30a.m. Monday morning and will remain open five days a week from that time until 4:00p.m.
