Ponguogue Beach in Hampton Bays is the most popular beach in the Hamptons with over 106,000 visitors each summer season. The Beach Pavilion, built in the late 1960’s, has weathered many storms and this extraordinarily high use quite well. However, as described by one community members, the facility is "in need of some love" and modernization. With both objectives in mind, the Town Board commissioned a firm to evaluate the facility, gather community input, recommend design changes, and develop cost estimates for their recommendations. Below is chronology of the process with links to supporting information and documentation.
