In celebration of National Public Gardens Day and in coordination with a series of events held at Bridge Gardens, The Madoo Conservancy and LongHouse Reserve, please join Southampton Town Councilwoman Christine P. Scalera and members of the community at the annual planting day for the Flanders Community Garden at the David Crohan Community Center. Community members will begin planting their seeds at 9:30 am on Saturday May 9th and all are welcome to attend. The plantings will include an assortment of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The garden is collaboration with the Family Health and Wellness Program area of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County with funding from the New York State Department of Health.
