Southampton Town declares a snow emergency for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 14


In light of anticipated conditions resulting from the forecast for heavy snow, high winds and coastal flooding in the next 24 hours, Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman has declared a snow emergency effective at midnight tonight.  The snow emergency will remain in effect throughout the day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 14.  Motorists are encouraged to remain off the road during the snow emergency and to exercise extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.  Residents are also encouraged to go to the Town’s website for additional information about weather conditions as well as information regarding local emergency services.  Power outages or downed wires should be reported directly to PSEG at 1-800-490-0075.  Town Hall and all Town facilities will be closed tomorrow, March 14.
