Students are taught to challenge themselves, build self confidence, meet new friends, reduce stress, and learn strategy & discipline through the game of Chess. This program is free and open to grades K - 12.

  6. Act TWO - Teen Community Theater

    May 24, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Hampton Bays Public Library

    The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is now accepting registrations for Act TWO. Through games and activities, participants learn improvisation, projection, public speaking, and issues pertinent to everyday life. Topics covered include making appropriate choices, acceptance, tolerance, bullying, drug and alcohol addiction, pregnancy prevention, etc. Skits are created and performed by students for other youth audiences. Act TWO is for teens in grades 7 – 12. Classes are held on Thursdays beginning September 14, 2017 and are held at the Hampton Bays Public Library, 52 Ponquogue Ave from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.   7. Summer Days Program - Registration Open

    May 25, 2018, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Flanders Community Center

    The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is accepting applications for their Summer Days program at The Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. This year’s theme is Science! Each week we will explore a different area of science through experiments, crafts, cooking and weekly fieldtrips. Program begins July 2nd and ends August 23rd and will be held Monday – Thursday from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. Youth going into grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate - Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $550/8 weeks (Price includes cost of field trips, lunch and supplies).

  12. Youth Advisory Committee

    May 29, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Hampton Bays Community Center

    If you are in grades 7th through 12th and interested in planning trips and events, doing community service projects, and making friends with students from other schools, then sign up for YAC! The Southampton Youth Bureau is looking for new members to join its Youth Advisory Committee, (YAC). As a YAC member, you can help make a difference in your community. Community service projects may include leaf raking for senior citizens, hosting a blood drive, meeting with elected officials in Albany for youth causes, participating in a sticker shock alcohol awareness campaign, or other activities that can make a difference in our community. YAC is a great way to get involved and to earn community service credit hours during the school year. Meetings are held every other Tuesday beginning September 19, 2017 at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Transportation is available upon request.
