2012 SPRING CLEANUP

ANNOUNCES THE 2012 SPRING CLEAN UP WILL BEGIN ON
MONDAY, APRIL 23, 2012

LEAVES:  Only leaves placed in biodegradable paper bags (NO PLASTIC BAGS) will be picked up.  (See list of businesses that carry biodegradable paper bags below)

BRUSH: Only branches that have come off the trees (no tree trimming, hedge clippings, stumps etc.) up to 3 inches in diameter (3 inches thick) will be picked up. 

MIXED PILES: NO mixed piles, land clearing or any other debris not within the guidelines of the program will be picked up.

SELF HAULERS: Residents only may dispose of leaves (year round) and brush (during the amnesty from April 15, 2012 to May 31, 2012) at the North Sea, Hampton Bays & Westhampton Transfer stations.

VOUCHERS:  Vouchers can be obtained from the highway office. Contact 631-702-2585 for details.

This program DOES NOT apply to the incorporated Villages through out the town.


STARTING POINTS FOR ALL HIGHWAY DISTRICTS
(All districts will start on the first day of the program):

DISTRICT ONE covers Eastport east to Quiogue.  This district will be starting in Eastport working their way east to Quiogue.  This district also includes the “Wildlife 1” subdivision.

DISTRICT TWO covers East Quogue, east to West Tiana Road and Flanders, north to Riverside at CR 104.  This district will be starting in the Northampton/Wildwood Lake area, than they will complete Riverside and Flanders before moving into East Quogue.

DISTRICT THREE covers Hampton Bays, from East Tiana Road to the west side of the canal.  This district will start on the north side of Montauk Highway on Red Creek Road heading south.   After completing all of the north side of Montauk Highway, they will move to the south side and complete all the roads west of Ponquogue Avenue before moving east of Ponquogue Avenue. 

DISTRICT FOUR covers Shinnecock Hills from the canal east up to Head of Pond Road at the intersection with Deerfield in Water Mill.  This district will start in Shinnecock Hills by the Lobster Inn working down North Highway heading towards the canal.  They will then head down Montauk Highway heading east toward the Tuckahoe area before moving into North Sea and ending on Head of Pond Road, north of Deerfield Road.

DISTRICT FIVE covers Noyac Road from Majors Path east to the Sag Harbor village line, including Mt. Misery.  It also covers Sagg Road to the wooden bridge.  This district will start in the most eastern section of their district in the Mt. Misery/Sagg Road area working west.

DISTRICT SIX covers the entire south side of Water Mill to Sagaponack and the north side of Water Mill from Deerfield Road east to Sagaponack.  They will start on Deerfield Road, on the north side of Montauk Highway in Water Mill and stay north of Montauk Highway through Bridgehampton into Sagaponack before moving south of Montauk Highway heading west from Sagaponack into Water Mill.
