The Town of Southampton is fortunate to have numerous historical societies, museums and local libraries in which collections of primary and secondary source material is available for research. In addition, the archives of neighboring communities may hold material of local interest and should not be overlooked. Please remember that many historical societies are managed by volunteers and are not operated on a regular schedule. All are open by appointment, however, and a phone call is recommended to confirm hours of operation.
