Dakota Thompson graduated from Hampton Bays High School in June of 2021. As a student there he was an athlete on the school’s football, wrestling and lacrosse teams. He enlisted in the US Army in the Spring of 2021 and attended Basic Training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina in the Fall of 2021. Upon completion of basic training, he attended tech school in Fort Lee, Virginia as a 91 Bravo which is a mechanic. A Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic is primarily responsible for supervising and performing maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles and associated items, as well as heavy-wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles. After graduation from tech school Dakota was shipped overseas to South Korea where he has served for the past year. Dakota is looking forward to returning to the states soon where he will be stationed at JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) in Washington State.
