  1. Registration Open! Summer Spy Camp

    Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes and learn how to be a detective! The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is currently accepting applications for their Summer Spy Camp at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Each week we will learn how to be a detective through crafts, movies, puzzles, and weekly field trips to Escape Rooms, the beach, police department and much more! Program begins July 1st and ends August 22nd and will be held Monday – Thursday from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. Youth going into grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate - Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $575/8 weeks (Price includes cost of field trips, lunch and supplies). Registration fee will be $525 per child if enrolled by Friday, April 26th.   3. Youth Court

    May 20, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Southampton Town Justice Court

    Youth Court is a very popular program and a great way to earn community service credits and build your college resume. Students work together to hold real trials for juvenile offenders, where all the facts of the case are heard and the jury decides on a disposition, or “sentence”, for the offender to repair the harm that they have caused to the victims. Cases range from trespassing, driving without a license, underage drinking to harassment, possession, and theft - among others.

    Any teen in grades 9 - 12 living in the Town of Southampton can participate. Students who are interested in becoming an attorney, improving public speaking skills, learning about the justice system, building their college/job resume or just enjoy community service are invited to join.

    Youth Court meets every Monday, beginning October 15th 2018 from 6:00pm -7:30pm at the Southampton Town Justice Court, 32 Jackson Ave. Transportation is available east of the Shinnecock canal.

    If you are in grades 7th through 12th and interested in planning trips and events, doing community service projects, and making friends with students from other schools, then sign up for YAC! The Southampton Youth Bureau is looking for new members to join its Youth Advisory Committee, (YAC) for 2018 – 2019. As a YAC member, you can help make a difference in your community. Community service projects may include leaf raking for senior citizens, hosting a blood drive, meeting with elected officials in Albany for youth causes, participating in a sticker shock alcohol awareness campaign, or other activities that can make a difference in our community. YAC is a great way to get involved and to earn community service credit hours during the school year. Meetings are held every other Tuesday beginning September 25th 2018 at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave, 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Transportation is available upon request. Skits are created and performed by students in 7th – 12th grade for other youth audiences.
