Supervisor Jay Schneiderman is pleased to announce that the Town’s general Emergency Order, in place since March 16, 2020 is being lifted, after the current Order expires at midnight tomorrow, May 15.
“The Town of Southampton is now fully open for business. It has been unprecedented in the history of the Town that a state of emergency has existed for fourteen months, but such was the insidious danger of COVID-19 that it had to be done for the health and safety of our employees and the community.” The Town will continue to maintain operations, and monitor updated Orders issued by the Governor and the guidance documents provided by the State and Federal governments with regard to COVID-19.
Interested parties are encouraged to check the Town’s website at www.southamptontownny.gov and the Town Clerk Meeting Portal for relevant meeting notices, agendas and updates in order to determine if a particular public meeting will be conducted either in-person or via Zoom teleconferencing. Many other services and information are also provided on-line to constituents, and may be found on the Town’s website.
