ALERT: Suffolk County Water Authority Extends Stage 1 Water Emergency


Due to persistent severe drought conditions, the Suffolk County Water Authority has extended its Stage 1 Water Emergency Alert from the East End of Long Island to all SCWA customers to ensure that there is sufficient water for firefighting and other emergency purposes.

Residents Must:

  • Stop all irrigation between the hours of 12 a.m. and 7 a.m.
  • Refrain from all non-essential water usage
