On Thursday, June 1, the 2023 Southampton Town Police Department promoted four members of the Department and welcomed a new officer.
Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman and Town Clerk Sundy Schermeyer were present with Chief James Kiernan at Southampton Town Police Headquarters to promote Sgt. William Kiernan to Lieutenant, Officer David Peters to Sergeant, Detective Carter Coleman to Sergeant, and Officer Caryl Bugge to Detective and welcome Charles Steuerwald to the Department as a full time officer.
