Operation Medicine Cabinet
NATIONAL DRUG TAKE BACK DAY
The Southampton Town Police Department will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Drug Take Back Day on
Saturday October 27th , from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
We will be collecting expired and unused medication for safe disposal. Collections sites will be established at the following locations;
Hampton Bays Community Center,
Flanders Community Center
Southampton Town Police Substation
at the Bridgehampton Commons,
Unused medications that are not disposed of can wind up in the hands of our most vulnerable populations, and flushing medication will ultimately wind up in our aquifer and pollute our drinking
water. Help keep our community safe and clean by turning in your unused medication. This service is free and confidential.
Liquid medications, syringes, sharps, and thermometers cannot be accepted.
For more information about the disposal of prescription drugs or about the October 27th, National Drug Take Back Day event, go to the DEA Diversion website or call the Southampton Town Police Property
Section at 631-702-2254.
