Town Receives Petition For Village Incorporation From 

East Quogue Residents

Supervisor Jay Schneiderman received in his office today, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a petition including signatures for the Incorporation of the Village of East Quogue. The petition was signed by David Celi, Maria Daddino, and Karen Kooi.  The boundaries of the proposed village are the East Quogue School District and the N/E Quogue Fire Protection District.

The Town Attorney’s Office and the Town Clerk’s Office will assist the Supervisor in reviewing the petition, pursuant to the terms and conditions of Article 2 of New York State Village Law.

The Supervisor will call a public hearing on the sufficiency of the petition on a date and location to be announced.

Copies of the petition will be available for viewing at the Town Clerk’s Office in Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton;  and, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the Town Clerk’s Annex Office, located in the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays.
