About 100 people turned out for the informational meeting on April 15, 2019 at Southampton Town Hall on septic replacement assistance.
Organized and promoted by the Concerned Citizens of Montauk through a Suffolk County grant, the Town of Southampton and Suffolk County teamed up to present the importance of reducing nitrogen and how homeowners can help save Southampton’s precious water resources.
Residents were informed about the financial assistance program available through the Town, County and New York State that will help fund the installation of new sanitary systems in high priority areas and how to apply.
