Co-hosts Trustee Ann Welker and Shinnecock Nation Performance Artist Shane Weeks tour Longhouse Reserve with executive director Matko Tomicic.

Ann Welker: "I discovered Long House on National Public Gardens Day. I heard about it from others for years, but had never made it there myself. Wish we all took more advantage of the treasures in our backyards.  It is now one of my favorite places on the East End. Whether visiting for a tour, a lecture, an opening, or simply a walk through the gardens, Long House never disappoints.”

Shane Weeks: “As "SHACC on the Road" continues to explore the east end, it is a privilege to co-host this unique excursion to Long House with Southampton Trustee Ann Welker. This Town sponsored trip invites our community to join town officials to visit and learn more about some of our favorite artists and cultural organizations on the east end. As a founding member of SHACC, it has been a pleasure to see how this committee and "SHACC on the Road" Tours have grown.”

Southampton Arts and Culture Committee (SHACC)

The mission of the committee is to advise the Town of Southampton on promoting greater exposure and participation in arts and culture-related activities through creative collaboration. Founded in 2017, its goal is to inspire engagement with art in historical, cultural, and social contexts on the East End of Long Island.
