2020 Grievances can be E-Filed, mailed, or dropped off at Southampton Town Hall Main Lobby Entrance at 116 Hampton Road, Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4 pm. See important information below regarding grievance filing alternatives. Form RP-524 Grievance Application must accompany each type of complaint.
How to file an Electronic Grievance
- Follow the instructions and complete a digital e-grievance form, RP-524 found in the Assessors Directory at www.southamptontownny.gov/Grievance-Day The website to file electronically will be available beginning May 1, 2020. You will digitally sign your appeal and attach any additional information to your submission. You will receive a verification of submission via email. We encourage you to file this form by May 19, 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, applications will be accepted until July 1, 2020.

- You may drop off your grievance form, RP-524 on or before Tuesday, May 19th, at Southampton Town Hall Main Lobby Entrance,116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968 between 8:30 am and 4 pm. - however, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, applications will be accepted until July 1, 2020.
GRIEVANCE filing period is May 1st - May 19th, 2020
The 2020/2021 tentative assessment roll will be available for public inspection online at http://www.southamptontownny.gov/130/Assessors-Office.
All grievances will be reviewed by the Board of Assessment Review. Determination Notices will be mailed or digitally transmitted July 1 – July 15, 2020. If you do not receive your Determination Notice by July 30, 2020 please contact our office. Failure to receive proper notice does not relieve you of the 2020/2021 assessment.
