The Town of Southampton Parks and Recreation Department has reopened playgrounds and skate parks today, Thursday, June 18th.  They were closed during the height of COVID 19 Pandemic a few months ago but are now permissible under Phase 2.  The Town will follow CDC guidelines and participants must wear face coverings and adhere to the 6 feet social distance requirements.

The Red Creek Skate Park and North Sea Skate Park will limit the number of participants to ten at a time and face masks must be worn at all times.  The hours of operation are also limited at Red Creek Park to Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon until 7pm.  They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  North Sea Skate Park is open from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week.

The Park’s playgrounds are open 7 days a week and participants are also required to wear face masks, social distance 6 feet apart and limit the number of participants to safe distancing.  Children under the age of two are not required to wear masks.   Children who are medically exempt from wearing masks must stay 6 feet from others.

In order to ensure everyone has a safe and heathy summer please review and abide by all rules which can be found at the parks facilities and on the Town’s website
