In an ongoing effort to keep beachgoers and staff safe during the COVID 19 Pandemic, the Town of Southampton continues to abide by New York State guidelines that limits the beachfront capacity to 50 percent.  However, we are now able to offer a limited number of daily beach permits for weekdays only at the following beaches:

  • Ponquogue:   Mon-Fri.
  • Tiana: Mon-Fri.
  • Mecox:  Mon-Fri.
  • Sagg Main:  Tues-Fri.
  • Long Beach:  Mon-Fri.

NO Daily permits will be sold on weekends until further notice.

A limited number of daily permits will be sold on the days indicated when space is available and can only be used to park at the beach at which it is purchased.  Beaches are monitored for capacity under NYS guidelines and may be subject to closure.  We cannot guarantee that a daily permit will be available for purchase when patron arrives at the beach

Otherwise, seasonal residential permits are required at all beaches and access roads and can be purchased at the beaches, 7 days a week from 9:30am-4:30pm or at the Parks and Recreation Office, 6 Newtown Road in Hampton Bays, Monday-Friday 8:30-4:00pm.  Daily weekday permits can only be purchased at the specified beach location, not at the office.
