This is an important message from the Suffolk County Water Authority (SCWA) to its customers living in Southampton Town. SCWA is currently experiencing unprecedented demand for water within our area. SCWA is asking all of its customers to help by immediately changing the settings on your irrigation controllers to water every other day, not every day. SCWA also asks that you adjust watering times so that your systems do not operate during the 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. hours. Implementation of these conservation measures will help SCWA provide adequate water pressure throughout the system as well maintain adequate water supply for firefighting purposes. With your help, SCWA can conserve our precious water resource and ensure sufficient water supply to address emergencies.
