The Town of Southampton will require beach parking permits through the month of September during the COVID 19 pandemic as required below.
Post Season Beach Operations:
Parking by Permit regulations have been extended from Labor Day to September 30 meaning a full season permit will continue to be required at all Town Beach and Town/Trustee Access roads designated in the Town Code as Parking by Permit, and at any additional roads designated as Parking by Permit under the Executive Order including but not limited to West Landing, East Landing, and Petrel Lane between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Ponquogue Beach and Sagg Main Beach will be staffed on weekends during this time.
It is anticipated that the Town will allow for non-permit holders to access five ocean beach locations beginning on September 9 on weekdays only. Please see below for more information about beach operations from September 9 through September 30. Terms are subject to change.
WEEKDAYS
September 9 – September 30
· Permit required at all Town Beaches and Town/Trustee Access roads designated in the Town Code as Parking by Permit, and at any additional roads designated as Parking by Permit under the Executive Order including but not limited to West Landing, East Landing, and Petrel Lane with the exception of the following locations which will not require a parking permit Monday – Friday beginning September 9.
- Ponquogue Beach, Hampton Bays
- Tiana Beach, Hampton Bays
- Pikes, Westhampton Dunes
- Foster Memorial (Long Beach), Noyac
- Sagg Main, Sagaponack
· No staff at any beach locations, and portable restroom access only.
· Full season permits available for purchase at Parks & Recreation Office, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
WEEKENDS
September 9 – September 30
· Permit required at all Town Beaches and Town/Trustee Access roads designated in the Town Code as Parking by Permit, and at any additional roads designated as Parking by Permit under the Executive Order including but not limited to West Landing, East Landing, and Petrel Lane. NO EXCEPTIONS.
· Ponquogue Beach and Sagg Main Beach will be staffed with beach attendants and lifeguards on weekends only, and restrooms open until 5:00 p.m.
· Full season and Daily permits available for purchase on weekends at Ponquogue Beach and Sagg Main Beach. Daily permits are sold on a limited basis and shall only be used to park at the beach it is purchased at.
· No staff at other beach locations, and portable restroom access only.
