Authorize the Extension of Expiration Dates for select Trustee Permits (4x4, and Boat Ramp) until January 10, 2021 Effective Immediately

WHEREAS, due to the National Health Emergency, it has become necessary to continue to drastically reduce employee staffing to a 50% capacity and limit public access to Southampton Town facilities as determined by building capacity limitations set by the public safety director; and 

 WHEREAS, the Southampton Town Trustees in response to the National Health emergency, and in order to limit person to person contact for the sake of public health, have authorized and implemented an online e-permit application, processing, and issuance program for 3 year permit renewals for 4x4 and boat ramp permits; and

 WHEREAS, the online e-permit processing program will also allow for online application, processing, and issuance of permits for Kayak Rack Permits, Dinghy Mooring Permits, and Replacement Stickers for outstanding permits beginning on January 11, 2021. 

 WHEREAS, said automated online e-permit system will begin accepting 3 year 4x4 and boat ramp permit applications on January 11, 2021; and

 WHEREAS, all outstanding 2020 4x4 and Boat Ramp permits are set to expire December 31, 2020, leaving permit holders without the ability to obtain a valid 3 year 4x4 or boat ramp permit immediately following expiration of their 2020 permit; therefore be it

 RESOLVED, that the expiration date for all outstanding 1 year 4x4 and Boat Ramp permits issued by the Southampton Town Trustees are to be extended until January 10, 2021 effective this date; and be it 

 FURTHER RESOLVED, that e-permit applications consisting of Kayak Rack Permits, Dinghy Mooring Permits, and Replacement Stickers for outstanding permits, shall become available to residents, freeholders shall be accepted beginning January 11, 2021.
