Staff will be controlling the entrance to the park. Only a limited number of skaters will be allowed in the park at a time to allow for social distancing. Skate times will be one-hour long on a first come first served basis. Once the hour expires you may sign up again (there is no additional fee). Please observe the recommended social distancing of 6 feet while in the park. If someone is waiting in a place where you would like to start your run from, please allow the person in front to go before you start your run while maintaining a social distance of 6 feet. Masks are required while skating and must be worn while waiting in line or outside the park. All skaters must follow rules and directions from staff, or they will be asked to leave. All skaters must be appropriately registered. A parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of registration of skaters under the age of 17, and must accompany skaters under the age of 10 at all times. Children under the age of 7 are not allowed in the skating area. HELMETS ARE A MUST! ANSI or SNELL-approved helmet is mandated. Kneepads and elbow pads are recommended. In-line skaters must also wear wrist guards. All equipment must be used per the manufacturer's specs. NO skating or trespassing is permitted when the Park is closed. Violators will be prosecuted. Recklessness will not be tolerated. All skaters must use the Park responsibly to avoid injury to themselves or others. The use of proper skater etiquette is expected at all times. - Profanity, abusive language, and/or fighting are not tolerated.
- Smoking is prohibited within the Park.
- Shoes required at all times.
- Use of drugs, alcohol, and/or vandalism is prohibited on Town property.
- The following are not allowed in the Park: bicycles, food, beverages, gum, and loose items, such as backpacks, coats, and radios/boom boxes. Glass containers are prohibited on Town property.
- Report all injuries immediately to the supervisor/attendant on duty.
- Report visible hazards and/or repair needs to the supervisor/attendant on duty.
- The Town is not responsible for personal property.
Violation of these rules may result in ejection from the Skate Park BY ORDER OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHAMPTON PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
