Youth Media Impact First Meeting: Thursday, October 16, 2025, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the Hampton Bays Community Center The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is recruiting new members for Youth Media Impact, an initiative that uses social media to promote positive youth development. This program is designed for youth in grades 9–12 who are passionate about social media marketing and raising awareness of important issues. Participants learn how to design creative and impactful social media campaigns that reflect the mission of the Youth Bureau. Kids Cooking ClubWednesdays, October 22 through December 17, from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at the Flanders Youth Center The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau will host Kids Cooking Club on Wednesdays, October 22 through December 17, from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. (Please note: No session will be held on Wednesday, November 26.) Participants in grades 4–8 will learn the basics of culinary skills and kitchen safety with Chef Keith, who holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has decades of experience working with youth. The cost of the program is $135 for 8 sessions. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Open Mic Night at Hampton Coffee Company in Hampton BaysFriday, October 24, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau will host an Open Mic Night on Friday, October 24 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hampton Coffee Company, 31 Shinnecock Road, Hampton Bays (note new location!). Performing is free and open to youth in grades 5 – 12. Acoustic performers, karaoke, spoken word, poetry, and comedic acts are all welcome.
