The Hampton Theatre Company (HTC) is presenting Tom Griffin's "The Boys Next Door" at the Quogue Community Hall from March 22 to April 8.
This poignant comedy is about four men with various mental health disabilities living in a group home. In brief vignettes, the play offers a humorous commentary on their lives and those of the caretakers and others around them. In the daily lives of these four men, little things become momentous, yielding a gentle reminder that the handicapped, like the rest of us, want only to love and laugh, and find some meaning and purpose.
HTC would like to offer a discounted ticket price of $20 to committee members of the East End Mental Health Awareness Initiative, The Association of Mental Health and Wellness as well as the attendees of the East End Mood Disorders Support Group and the NAMI support group of Water mill. (See below for how to access the discount.)
Performances are held Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm (except Easter Sunday, April 1). Additional matinees will be performed on Saturday, March 31 and Saturday, April 7 at 2:30 pm. More information may be found at www.hamptontheatre.org
