30th Anniversary for WindsurfingWINDSURFING & STANDUP PADDLE BOARDING INSTRUCTIONThe Town of Southampton Parks & Recreation Department and Hampton Watersports of Southampton is offering a combination windsurfing and standup paddle boarding instruction at two locations during the summer months. Instruction is suitable to all skill levels beginner through advanced.
LOCATIONS: Tiana Recreation Area on the bayside of Dune Road in Hampton Bays Foster Memorial Beach (Long Beach) in Noyac.
Participants must be able to swim and will be required to wear approved lifejackets. Boards and sails will also be provided by Hampton Watersports. Please wear a bathing suit, bring a towel and a pair of water shoes or sandals.
Ages: Youths ages 8 & older and Adults Fees: Resident $200 Non-Resident $210
This program combines instruction in both windsurfing and standup paddle boarding. Each program consists of 3 classes: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

The goal of “Southampton Baseball School” is individual improvement through small classes in a fun filled atmosphere. Hitting instruction is emphasized. Each participant will hit more baseballs in a week than he or she hits in one full Little League Season!
PLEASE NOTE: Mr. Nelson offers this program while he vacations in Southampton. Every effort will be made to make up rained-out days, however, make-ups cannot be guaranteed. See page 17

Pre-requisite: Students will demonstrate in their first class the ability to swim 50 yards without stopping using any strokes with form and proper breathing and tread water for 2 minutes. This program will feature many of the same activities of the popular Junior Lifeguard Program. NOT to be considered swim lessons. Recommended that nippers are at or above age level ability in Red Cross Les-sons. Level 3,4,5.

If your child enjoys our Art & Science class sessions, then they will love our new full day ARTSEA Program. Tiana bay and ocean ecosystems will serve as their muse, and Carolyn Munaco will serve as the educating artist. Students will use a multitude of mediums to create in and “sloppy” clothing is highly recommended!

Fit Club is a guaranteed way to get your kids excited about exercise and engage in fun physical activities. The programs sole purpose is to get our youth to develop a positive attitude toward leading a healthy, fit lifestyle. They will be led by Southampton Elementary Physical Education teacher and coach, Chrissie Fagereng, who will encourage and inspire your child to achieve their highest potential and level of fitness. Participants will be engaged in 60 minutes of fun activities that incorporate sport conditioning and strength building exercises. This program promotes fitness and athleticism, while not focusing on a winning or losing mentality. This program is not sports based, but it will prepare your child with the necessary fitness components in order to be successful in any sport. Participants should be prepared to take part in activities both indoors and outdoors. Please wear sneakers and athletic clothing, a bring a water bottle and beach towel.See pages 28
