    Flanders Youth Center

    Join the Southampton Youth Bureau's Discovery Club for a STEAM session of Space Exploration and learn about the planets in our Solar System through games and activities! Discovery Club is held every Wednesday from 4:30pm - 6:00pm (September 22nd - October 27th) at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road.     Southampton Town Hall

    Registration is now open for The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau’s “Youth and Government” program. Youth & Government is sponsored by the Alliance of NYS YMCAs and is a national program that involves teens in state-organized, model-government programs. Students in grades 9 - 12 will have the opportunity to practice experiential civic engagement and learn about the democratic process. Youth will discuss and debate issues that affect citizens of New York State and will get a chance to attend the state conference with youth from across New York.

    The Southampton Youth Bureau’s Youth & Government program is held on Wednesdays beginning September 22nd. First Meeting on September 22nd will be held at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. All other meetings will be held from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave. For more information, please call (631) 702-2425 or Councilman Tommy John Schiavoni at (631) 287-5745.

    The Southampton Youth Bureau offers Karate classes at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Rd every Thursday from 5:30pm - 6:30pm beginning September 23rd. Classes are taught by international coach & instructor Falah Kanani. Program is open to ages 5 - 12 and pre-registration is required.     The Southampton Youth Bureau will be sponsoring a Basketball Clinic at Southampton Youth Services (SYS), 1370a Majors Path every Friday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm (September 24th – November 19th). Clinic is open to grades 7 - 12 and cost is $25/9 sessions. Limited transportation is available from the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Bus will leave at 4:15pm and will return at 7:30pm.     Hampton Bays Community Center

    The Southampton Youth Bureau is recruiting new members for their Youth Advisory Committee for the 2021 - 2022 school year! If you are in 7th - 12th grade and interested in planning trips and events, doing community service projects, and making friends with students from other schools, then sign up for YAC! As a YAC member, you can make a difference in your community. Community service projects may include leaf raking for senior citizens, hosting a clothing drive, participating in fundraisers for other youth organizations, meeting with elected officials for youth causes, or other activities that can make a difference in our community. YAC is a great way to get involved and to earn community service credit hours. Meetings will be held every other Tuesday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. The first meeting begins September 28th at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue. Pre-registration is required! Transportation may be available.
