Feral cats are the offspring of domestic cats that have not been socialized. Animal Control does not pick up feral cats and the shelter does not accept them. The Southampton Animal Shelter offers support to residents of the Town through their AdvoCat Program which includes trapping, spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations and releasing . The Animal Shelter is open 7-days-a-week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, it is closed on the following holidays:
The shelter has many dogs and cats that are available for adoption. They occasionally get other animals like rabbits, hamsters, birds and reptiles. All of the shelter’s available animals can be viewed on the shelter website.
The shelter does have a veterinary clinic on site. They offer low-cost spaying/neutering, vaccinations, wellness exams, dental cleanings and microchipping.. You can contact the clinic at 631-728-7387, ext. 226 for more information.
