South Fork Commuter Connection

Weekday Schedule:

LIRR Train & Shuttle Schedules: Please be aware of the effective date indicated on the schedule.
The South Fork Commuter Connection (SFCC) is a coordinated rail and bus system created to operate during peak commuting hours in order to provide workers with a public transportation travel option. The

The SFCC operates Monday through Friday, except for major legal holidays. The service offers local LIRR trips, stopping in Speonk, Westhampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Amagansett, and Montauk. Select trains will connect with last-mile shuttle bus service to nearby workplaces and employment centers.

Commuters west of the canal are encouraged to park at an LIRR station west of the canal, then ride the train to their destination east of the canal. At the stations east of the canal, ‘last mile’ shuttle services will bring riders to the villages, hamlets and employment centers. Late afternoon bus and train service will return riders to their stations of origin.

The fare is $3.75 one-way and includes the train ride and local ‘last-mile’ shuttle services.

Fare & Ticketing Information

To take advantage of the $3.75 reduced fare on South Fork Commuter Connection trips, purchase ‘South Fork Commuter Connection’ special promotion tickets through the "Deals & Getaways" screen on the (grey) ticket vending machines located at each South Fork station. SFCC tickets are not available through the MTA e-Tix app or through the regular (red) ticket vending machines.

Riders traveling frequently to any stations between Westhampton and Montauk (not Speonk) should consider purchasing a monthly pass. It is good on both SFCC and regular LIRR trips and may save you money." (A rider travelling round trip 20 days a month will save with a monthly pass vs the $3.75 tickets.)

If your employer offers a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) benefit, you may be able to purchase your train tickets with 'pre tax' dollars; please check with your employer."
