Join Councilwoman McNamara for the Great East End Clean-Up, April 26 and April 27
Councilwoman Cyndi McNamara announced today that it is once again time to register to participate in the Great East End Clean-Up, which will take place on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27.
The Great East End Clean-Up is a volunteer-based program to remove litter and debris from public areas throughout Southampton Town. Last year over 550 volunteers removed 7.76 tons of garbage and bulk items (furniture) from our beaches, parks, trails, and roadsides.
“The Great East End Clean-Up has become an annual event in our Town and I look forward to continuing the tradition,” said Councilwoman McNamara. “We live in a special place and the volunteers from the community really do make a difference.”
If you would like to participate, just select an area of public property such as a park, beach, trail, or roadside that is in need of cleaning and complete the registration form online by Wednesday, April 23. Individuals as well as groups are welcome to sign up.
