Community members of all ages are invited to join the Southampton Town Anti-Bias Task Force (ABTF) for their Annual Great East End Community Picnic, promoting dignity and respect for all. This free event will be held on Saturday, September 9th from 1-5pm at Red Creek Park in Hampton Bays.
As in previous years, free food, beverages and dessert will be available for all to enjoy. Entertainment will include music featuring DJ Mayo of DMP Productions, games, activities, and a bouncy house – fun for the whole family. Local programs, resources and services will be on display.
The Southampton Town Anti-Bias Task Force is the longest running ABTF in Suffolk County and is comprised of concerned clergy, community members, and members of various human service organizations who are working together to address the issues of prejudice, racism and discrimination in our community.
The picnic is sponsored by the Town of Southampton and contributions from generous community organizations, businesses and community members. Thanks to the Town’s Community Development Department for providing additional funding for the picnic this year.
