Town Board finds that a Traffic Mitigation and Safety Task Force, according to Southampton Town Code Chapter 12, should be established to listen to, examine and evaluate on-going public concerns and potential mitigation/solutions relative to traffic, and shall accomplish the following:

  1.   Identify and study known heavy trafficked corridors, be they primary or secondary roadways;
  2.  Collect information from the public and traffic professionals regarding potential solutions, mitigation and prioritize recommendations relative to those roads identified; and
  3.  Devise and issue a Final Report with Findings and varied recommendations to be presented to the Town Board at a regularly scheduled meeting
